Assateague View might be secluded, but there are many activities available within just a few minutes drive. Here’s just a selection of the best things to do!

Assateague Island National Seashore & State Park

Our favorite spot on the eastern shore! Everyone knows Assateague for the wild ponies, but there are so many other things to enjoy that you could spend hours exploring hiking trails, beaches, nature centers, and more. We love to bring our chairs and sit around a bonfire on the beach in the evening, watching all the stars appear one by one. Visit the Assateague Island National Seashore and Assateague State Park websites to plan your visit.

Public Boat Launch

The South Point neighborhood has a public boat launch. With plenty of space in the driveway, why not bring your boat and play on Sinepuxent Bay?

Golfing

The Berlin and Ocean City areas are well-known for their world class golfing, and at Assateague View you’re right in the center of it all. Check out these fabulous courses while on vacation:

Berlin, MD

Antiquing, eating, and the arts await you in historic Berlin, MD. Stroll the main street and have a bite at the delicious Blacksmith Bar and Restaurant. Berlin has been named “the coolest small town in America”… you really should visit yourself to find out why. Visit Maryland has the skinny on all the great things to do.

Ocean City is the crown jewel of Maryland’s eastern shore. With rides, games, food, shopping, and, of course, sea gulls, if you’re looking to get out and see some crowds and lights the Ocean City Boardwalk is the place you want to be. While you’re there, make sure you check out our absolute favorite brewery, Backshore Brewing Company! Check out Visit Maryland’s Things to Do in Ocean City and Ocean City’s official website, www.ococean.com for lots of ideas.

Frontier Town

Bringing the kids? Or just feeling like one? Frontier Town has a water park, zip lines, and western-themed shows great for all ages.
